We celebrated spring with Molly's Garden Party. Funds raised supported the Molly Appeal Neuroscience Traineeships for top graduate students. These graduate students will conduct critical neuroscience research at Dalhousie University's Faculty of Medicine.
"We are deeply grateful for the vision that supporters of the Molly Appeal are expressing by fostering the development of new researchers in neuroscience," says Dr. Steven Barnes, Director of the Neuroscience Institute at Dalhousie.
Beautiful art, great food, great music, a live art auction and a raffle for fine "Touch of Gold" jewelry in a beautiful garden setting are what make the Molly's Garden Party a one of a kind event.
“It’s a meeting of art, science and philanthropy under one roof, and they all add their own special gifts to the event,” says artist Shelley Mitchell, who serves on the event’s planning committee and has donated a painting the past four years.
Special thanks to our three principal sponsors for Molly’s Garden Party: Sobeys, presenting sponsor; Clearwater, orchid-level sponsor and Advocate Printing & Publishing, presenting media sponsor. With their generous support, $60,000.00 was raised at the Garden Party to add to the Molly Appeal Neuroscience campaign.
Thank you!

Meet Colin.
Graduate students are the future of medical research.
Graduate students like Colin Franz are the very future of scientific research Colin’s passion is to find a way for people with spinal cord injuries to walk again. Molly Moore also had a passion;
Molly believed that today’s science is tomorrow’s cure.
She was right.
